We all know how important it is to have healthy skin. Our skin can be damaged by stress, sunburn, and environmental factors. We are going to share some summer skincare tips with you.

7 TIPS FOR SKINCARE IN THE SUMMERTIME

Proper skincare routines are crucial for our health and appearance. It is important to have a routine that takes care of your skin, especially during the summer months. This is when our skin requires extra care and protection.

Skin that hasn’t been cared for properly can indeed dry out, become rough and flaky in a short time. We are dermatologists and can give you some tips on how to care for your skin during the summer.

Preparation and cleansing of the skin

Clean and properly prepared skin is key to healthy skin. Particularly in summer, it is important to clean your skin with mild products that do not alter the skin’s pH.

Hydration

Proper hydration is crucial in summer. Lack of water and hydration can lead to dry, dull, and even scaly skin. The skin can be saved by taking a shower, bathing, and drinking lots of water.

It is also convenient to use moisturizing creams all over your body after every shower. Pay special attention to the dry areas, like the heels, elbows, and knees. The face is also important, as its skin is more delicate and requires special dermatological treatments.

Daily sun protection

Sunscreen is something that we often make in summer. We only apply it to those who are going to the pool or beach to sunbathe. The sun can indeed take us anywhere, even in our clothing. Sunscreens must be used daily in our skin and facial care routines.

Get lots of water

We have mentioned that the skin needs to be hydrated both from the outside and the inside. Heat indeed causes the body to lose water and it is important to replenish it. A lack of water can lead to premature aging and dry skin. We need to drink at least 2 liters of water a day to keep our skin hydrated.

Proper clothing

You should also consider the clothing you wear in summer to care for your skin. The ideal fabric allows perspiration. This will prevent excessive sweating and reactions from lack of perspiration. Avoid using alcohol-containing colognes and products when you are at the pool or beach.

They could cause skin irritation or staining. Protecting and caring for areas most exposed to sunlight, such as the neck, chest, arms, and legs, is crucial. Scarves, hats, and sarongs are all good options. These protect the skin from prolonged sun exposure and help keep the body cool.

Feeding

Not all foods are good for your skin. However, you don’t have to eat them all. Consume fruits, vegetables, antioxidant-rich foods to take good care of your skin during summer. They help prevent cell damage and increase blood flow.

These foods include milk, eggs, and fish for Vitamin A; almonds, walnuts, and peaches for Vitamin B; oranges, pineapples, and kiwis for Vitamin C; and nuts and tomatoes to get Vitamin E.
