What criteria should be used in SEO?

The size and duplication of tags (titles and meta description)

Each content must be unique, the title of a page and the meta descriptions are no exception to the rule. We have not yet discussed the title tag which is different from H1. The H1 corresponds to the title of your page or article while the title tag provides a title for search engines that will be displayed in the SERP. For SEO, the title tag should not exceed around 70 characters in 2021 (this changes over the years). Regarding the meta-description, it is not very useful for SEO company but highly recommended to encourage the user to click on your page rather than that of the competition. Its recommended size is between 70 and 150 characters. Beyond that, Google limits its display to 150 characters.


Image optimization

The weight and sizing of your images must be optimized to limit the loading time of your pages. Search engines take into account the speed of your website, images that are too large or too heavy will take longer to load which will have an impact on the overall loading time of the site. It is considered that an image over 60K can be reduced. Also, the engines ensure that your images have an alternative text, otherwise, it will not be able to read your images. Alt-text is actually used by screen-reading software to help blind internet users understand the content of your images. Search engines analyze images the same way. It is, therefore, preferable to describe the image precisely in order to help search engines understand the content of your pages.


The responsive design of the site

It is important to provide a good user experience with a functional site on desktop, tablet, and smartphone.


Site page load time

Google announced that 70% of pages require 7 seconds for the top part of the content to load and 10 seconds to load completely. This negative observation includes that the longer the user has to wait for a page to load, the more he will tend to leave the page.
